digitizing and sizing a photo
1. You start your computer and enter Photo Impact,
2. After that you go to file and choose the option open,
3. You open your file or a: drive and you choose one photo that you want to digitize,
4. After that you go to format and choose dimensions to size correctly the photo, there you will reduce your photo size in width or height, pay attention that your photo should not be over 50 Kb, the ideal size it would be, if possible, 25 Kb,
5. The size that the photo should have in pixels ,to send it to students page blackboard, must be 90x120
6. Go to format and choose data type , then you have to choose optimized index 256 color ( you must choose that option because it will reduce the memory only to necessary size memory),
7. After your photo is rightly reduced and sized you have to save it. To do that you must go to file and choose save as and save your file in *.gif or jpeg. Remember that when you save your file you must write it with small letters and without numbers on it, only gif files can be send to students page.
uploading a photo to the blackboard
1. You open the browser,
2. After that you must go to www.worldtune.com/eol,
3. Choose the Channel you work on (click on "terminal")
4. Choose the blackboard you want to use
5. Inside that page you click new content button,
6. You choose and browse the file you want to upload,
7. Click update to send it to blackboard and you will have your picture. there.
uploading a photo to the students page
1. Open the browser,
2. Go to www.Worldtune.com/eol,
3. Open a channel (Terminal)
4. Inside eol page you just click Students button,
5. After that small step, please click "ftp"-button,
6. Then you choose your file and browse it,
7. To complete your work just click upload.
configuration of mIRC
1. Start mIRC by clicking the mIRC icon on your desktop.
2. Click the photo which appears.
3. Type in your name, e-mail address, nickname and the optional nickname.
4. Choose an Undernet sever from server list.
5. The channel screen pops up after you have connected.
6. Type : #salite. ???
7. Click add.
8. Click join.
9. After a while you will be logged in to a #salite channnel.
